In this important role, the Senior Programmer Analyst will plan, coordinate and execute the implementation of computer based solutions for the applications programming group. You will work closely with the user community to develop functional and programming specifications to be used for computer code development; and design, create, test debug and install computer program codes in compliance with Programming Standards. Assist the IT Manager in the development of resource requirements, including staffing and work schedules; and maintain an awareness of installed system capabilities including data base structure and content. Additionally, you will maintain a current knowledge of the standard programming language, coding method and techniques required to produce a maintainable and functional program code. Other duties as assigned. The successful candidate must possess a BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree and a minimum of 3 years programming experience. Knowledge of AS/400, the ability to work well in a team environment and complete tasks within a given time frame and given budget required; knowledge of JD Edwards helpful. Excellent written and oral communication skills a must.
